Thankful to Whom

It is the Thanksgiving season. Soon many will be knee deep in turkeys, stuffing, and pie.  Families will be getting together, football will light up the TV, and the kids will be running around. Tis the season, right? Well, regardless of your interpretation of where Thanksgiving came from or if you celebrate it, it does give us the opportunity to stop and reflect on our lives and look over the past year. The opportunity is there, but do most people take it? Outside of a simple prayer over the meal or casual discussion without much thought into it, I would suspect that most miss it. One of the signs of the last days according to Scripture is the unthankfulness of men (2 Timothy 3:1-2). While we could talk about that for a while, I want to encourage you and give you some things to meditate on from the Word of God.

As I reflect on what God has done in our lives, it is so important to me to give Him thanks above all for who He is and for His goodness towards us. James 1: 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. The Bible tells us that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. If you have repented and are a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ, we need to look no further than our eternal salvation and redemption as the perfect gift. God has reconciled us to Himself through the cross of our Lord Jesus and given us the forgiveness of our sins. He has removed them as far as the east is to the west. That is the good news. After the cross, however, is also the Resurrection. We must never forget that because He lives, we will live also. We are living eternal life with our Savior beginning now. What a wonderful thing to be thankful for!

We are also instructed in the Word of God to be thankful in all things. Ephesians 5: 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. All means all right? Learning the sovereignty of God enables us to believe this statement. You see God is in control and is working all things after the council of His own will (Ephesians 1:11.) It is His plan working through the earth. I know that can be hard to believe when you stop and look at the mess the world is in right now. Trusting in His power through the storms enables us to have that peace that passes all understanding while the fiery trials go on around us. 1 Thessalonians 5: 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. It is God’s will that we give thanks. Many people will say they just want to do the will of God for their lives. Well, here we have a direct answer. Give thanks in everything to Him. As we grow in our faith and trust of the Father, our spiritual senses begin to be exercised, and we are able to see that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28.)  We can be thankful if our heart is right and does not condemn us before God. We can know in certainty that whether we are in good or in trial, God is taking care of us and will fulfill His plan in your life.

Did you know it is also a sacrifice to offer thanks? Why? Could it be because we are acknowledging that as much as we try, we are not God? Psalm 107:21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! 22 Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing. It is the Lord who sees from Heaven and gives the rain to the just and the unjust. It is He who sustains life in His hands. It is He who causes the sun to rise and set everyday. He calls the stars by name. He is the Almighty Lord of the universe. His mercy and goodness endure throughout the generations. There are some that do not understand that the sacrifices did not end in the Old Testament. We, the body of Christ, are a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1) offering up spiritual sacrifices to our Lord. The fruit of thanksgiving on our lips is well pleasing to Him. Let us please Him, Amen!

Many times when we begin to think on what we are thankful for it can take a turn to the material side as in what do we possess. I encourage you to keep in mind the things that God has done in you and through you that stores treasure in Heaven. Not by earthly measures, but the treasure that bears the fruits of righteousness and truth. Has God used you to train the children in your home in His Word? Be thankful. Has God used you to bless others through the giving of your time, money, or resources? Be thankful. Has God revealed to you deeper revelation of His Word because you have been faithful to Him? Be thankful.

Psalm 100:1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting. And His truth endures all generations.

I encourage you all to stop and take some time during this season to tell the Lord you are thankful. May the grace of our Lord be with you all.

Revisiting the Cross

I believe that we should never, no matter what we do or where the Lord takes us, never should we forget where our life started over. We should all be able to look back at that moment in our life where we repented and forsook all to follow Jesus. We believed in the Gospel, and it changed our lives. We had been born again from above and had a new hope. All too often, we get caught up in everyday life and can lose track of who we are and where we are going. It is so easy without faith, discipline, and endurance to allow this world and all of its sin find its way into our lives. That is why I believe it is important to revisit the Cross in our spiritual walk and remind ourselves what we have through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We do not hear a lot about sin and its consequences anymore. There is not a lot about the righteous judgment of the Lord and his desire for us to be holy and separate from the world. Even more, there is not a lot about what the Cross of Jesus Christ really was and is about. Most of today’s doctrines and teachings have to do with “accepting Jesus as your personal Savior.” The Cross has lost out to a seeker friendly, worldly appealing Jesus who wants to bless you and will make all your troubles go away. It is a shame how many people have believed the lie and now have placed their eternal destination in such a way. When was the last time you saw someone weeping and repenting over their sins? Many times sin is not portrayed in truth. Not many want to tell the masses that their sins separate them from a holy God and nothing they can do will get them back into His favor and His forgiveness. Man always wants to do things himself and wants to justify his doings thinking his own works will account for something on Judgment Day. Apart from God, we are a stubborn and rebellious people who cannot inherit the kingdom of God. How is that for truth? I pray that as we go through the Scriptures that we will take some time and meditate on them to renew our minds to what the Word is speaking to us through the Holy Spirit. The Lord is returning very soon and a great revival is coming. Nothing like these false things we have seen, but a true genuine revival among the nations. However, a great falling away is coming as well where people will depart from the Word of God because they did not love the truth and had pleasure in their unrighteousness. We must prepare and cling to the old rugged Cross.

Romans 5: 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us

God bless you all.

It is happening

Is anyone else amazed at how quickly our country and our world is changing?  The speed of the events happening almost numbs your mind.  Every day, it seems, something major has happened.  Yet, before we can even comprehend it, something else takes its place in the headlines.  These are truly perilous times we live in.  A quick glance at this day shows a tsunami two days ago in Samoa, a devestating earthquake in Indonesia, Iran revealing more of its nuclear program, and oh yeah, the whole financial mess is still bringing in numbers that I did not know could actually be reached.  One after another, outwardly and inwardly, the pieces are falling into place that will bring about the final seven years prophesied to Daniel's people (Daniel 9:24-27), commonly called the Tribulation period.  We are at the door.  The woman is about to birth the man-child (Revelation 12) and flee to the wilderness.  Daniel's people and the woman represent the same people...the church.  The true church is on the verge of witnesses the greatest revival the world has ever seen through the greatest persecution it has ever seen.  The people of God must stand firm and faithful through all that is coming.  The Lord God from Heaven, Creator of Heaven and earth, shall stand up to deliver His people.  They shall be like the trees planted by the living waters who bring forth its fruit in all seasons.  The wicked shall be wicked still and the righteous shall be righteous still.  May our wonderful Father give us grace and patience through the days to come.

Seeking Him,

GMM - Back Again

Hello all........God bless you.

Wow....it has been a little while since the Global Masih website received any attention.  There has been much going on as we are living our lives for Jesus Christ and following His plan which we know what He has begun, He will complete!

There is much going on in the world today and much happening in the church of God.  The hour is late as we are seeing unprecedented things happening on a global and national scale that is setting things up for the final empires of this world.  We pray that if you do not know our risen Savior that today would be the day you choose to repent and believe the Gospel.  He truly stands at the door and knocks and promises to all who open that He will come in and sup with them.  He saves us, He delivers us, He heals us, and makes us whole!

Keep checking the site as we will again be back at it.
Jesus is Lord!
